I introduce myself briefly. I am Nicola Paone and currently working as a sysadmin *Nix SysAdmin (Unix derived and Linux) for an important company in Italy. I have several years of experience in the sector, most of which revolves on Linux, free software and open source. I collaborated with several companies in the industry and I do my job one of my greatest passions.
The SysAdmin must:
- Troubleshooting any reported problems.
- Introducing and integrating new technologies into existing data center environments.
- Performing routine audits of systems and software.
- Performing backups.
- Security admin.
- Troubleshooting any reported problems.
- Tuning system performance
- Ensuring that the network infrastructure is up and running.
- Responsibility for documenting the configuration of the system.
- Analyzing system logs and identifying potential issues with computer systems.
